Chronicles of Narnia: Prince ?

I just finished watching the new chronicles of narnia movie and I thought it was really good. But I didn't understand why Peter and Suzy aren't coming back. I think I may have missed something or just not understood what happened. I remember them saying that Peter and Suzy have learned all they can from Narnia but I think there was more to it.....
