Can my regular doctor perform a quantitative pregnancy test?

I got my BFP 7 days ago (two days past my missed period). I set up a drs appointment with an Obgyn and it isn't until Feb.16th (about a month from now and I'll be 9 1/2 weeks preg by then.) I've had an appt for the 24th of this month set up with my family doctor since before I got pregnant. Does anyone know if they could give me a quantitative and tell me if my hcg level is up to par? I know everyone has to wait and everyone is nervous those few weeks before that first heartbeat is heard but if it can be done I want it! Hehe
