Can varicose veins be first sign of pregnancy ? ?

my period is due ... my is sore painfull and larger and blue veins which were not visible before ....after getting up from the bed i went to the kitchen to prepare the breakfast ...i felt my veins getting twisted in the lower leg ...then reliased a light then dark blue veins in the same area which looks like varicose veins ...am i pregnant ?..or is this a serious illness...please help me ...im worried ...thank you
